So, I decided to:
 a) be creative
 b) do something that was a practical part of the '30's and 40's
 c) you can NEVER have enough blankets and quilts in your house!
This is where it all started.
I also made 2 bunnies out of these yo-yo's as gifts for two adorable little boys...I decided to put Lavender in the ears and then I started thinking...
I had made a decision to be a better person, in many ways...from my mind set to being a better American, friend, wife, mother...you get the idea.
So, I made my husband crazy (OK, still do...it's our job right?) On line, checking things out, going to my bookcase, and getting the books I obtained from my grandparents, and that I bought when my daughter was born...and started reading about 'How I once did things...and stopped'.
Anyway, I'm still working on the quilt....so I decided to make my quilt with a backing, seeing that the 'originals' did not, and not many are still around...which meant I was 'making it up as I went. So I starting sewing them together...I was using up all my 'left over' fabric...from when I made a Raggedy Ann outfit, Easter dresses, and old craft projects. Then I just bought Fat Quarters that I liked. After I made a pile of the sections...

I sewed them together, and made this...then I started over again.
Right now my pile of Yo-Yo's is getting smaller and I have reached the point I am wondering if I made enough...Anyway, I'll update again when I get more done!

I have been very busy today! Made and sold 2 gallons of Laundry Soap, 2 bottles of Stain Remover, 2 Dryer Bags. Then I started testing a new lotion recipe. I refilled my deodorant bottle, made Non-shampoo, and a Spray Disinfectant! Wow...I am tired...2 loads of laundry as well, moved my Anniversary present, cleaned 2 bathrooms, and made a  necklace for my daughter...it's only 2:15pm...now what? Well, that would be get ready to drive her to meet up my nephew for a Gymnastics meet. So with that I am going to relax and sew on my quilt for a little. I will have to get pictures up soon too!
